Daniel is a licensed architect with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from University of Maryland, College Park. He is also LEED AP certified and an expert in sustainable design. Following his master’s degree he taught design as an adjunct professor at University of Maryland, bringing back his design experience to third year architecture studio students. After working at premier firms in the DC area he returned to his home of Salisbury to bring this expertise to the Eastern Shore.
In addition to operating Design Matters, Daniel is deeply involved in the community. He serves on the Salisbury/Wicomico County Planning and Zoning Commission. He has also created artwork throughout the community, including the 'Tides Forgotten' art installation for the 2019 Folk Festival, an installation that reflects on the region's close connection to the water and the threat posed by sea level rise.
